Which is the more impactful medium: traditional marketing or digital marketing? Explain why.

This is vishwaa , I am a professional and a certified digital marketer. Today I am going to speak about traditional and digital marketing.

I would say digital marketing  is the most powerful and impactful medium to emerge a business  in today’s environment  . Before explaining about the topic we should know,

1.What is meant by digital marketing?

The term digital marketing defines as a platform or a medium where we can take a product, profile or anything and make it to reach an enormous number of people in internet.

Moreover this could be explained as , digital marketing is a bridge which establishes a relationship  between  client to the target user in the internet platform.

2.What is the purpose to promote a business in a digital marketing platform, rather than doing it in a traditional way?

In ancient times internet was not born , so traditional marketing was the one and only method  to establish and grow a business, But in today’s  the needs of every people is being increasing day by day ,in order to service with  the respective audiences and also make aware about our business  , digital marketing is a must.

For example:

With reference to the above I would like to quote an instance , where today in social media’s like Facebook , YouTube , twitter   and many we would see many  ads  related to food delivery ,

As some set of people are planning to save time , by ordering the food through an application in a smartphone, because some may don’t like to visit the hotel .So they would prefer to order the food  from  home itself and they could also pay the bill in online.

Here there is a need for the  customer  to have a suitable platform to order the food in online, and there also best service mediums to deliver the food online,

but how those servicing mediums can make the user aware that we are there to service you?                   

Here they make use  of the digital marketing platform and the probability of reaching more number of people  will be more.

3.Here a question raises , how far digital marketing platforms will be effective from the concept  of traditional marketing?

In traditional marketing , on most of the times the interaction with the target user will one to one and in some rare times , the client will  have  interaction with many people.

The time that takes to establish a brand is more.

Here there is a complication of finding specific  i.e. the targeting audiences.

The cost that takes to promote a brand through traditional marketing will not be that much affordable.

For an instance let us take some brand , the ways and stratergies  that they take through traditional marketing are,

Keeping banners and hoardings in popular places.

Supplying bit notice to the public

Advertising through posters

Publish advertisement in television channels , radio stations and etc..

Advertising  through barricades present in the roads.

Keeping  a sort of attractive display in the central medians .

Putting stalls in public places such as theaters super markets , shopping malls etc..

.If it is a  food brand  , free samples will be provided.

Hence, some of the methods mentioned above may be affordable everyone and rest of them are very costly. The output return on those investments cannot be determined easily.

4. Whereas if you go by digital marketing.

  Interaction will always be on e to many

Accessibility to reach the customers will be high

We can find the target audience easily

Time for establishing a brand through digital marketing will save time.

Here  for any brand the strategies that are used in digital marketing are:

Posting content about the brand in social medias

Advertising through Google ad words

Register your brand in Google my business for  free.

Create a video about your brand and publish it on every video sites such as YouTube ..

Create hash tags in Facebook , twitter and instagram for your brand.

You can establish the brand by publishing different types of images in instagram.

You can tag many number of people on any location in social media platforms.

Create a poll with respect to your brand in social media and other platforms.

Publish blogs about the product.

The ultimate option of campaigning a particular post , video or anything will make a business to reach to target audience.

Hence digital marketing can be affordable by everyone and probability of getting   return on investment is more and also saves time.

Traditional  marketing will be effective in some parts of the promotion , last but not least Digital marketing   is the impactful medium  .
